The CONTENT HUB is designed to restore HOPE and to create a positive environment in which young people can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic life of SA. These are economically active lives who are helpless and in despair of finding a better life for themselves and for their families.

Automotive Industry Comprehensive Gap Skills Analysis

The project aims to create a Skills Roadmap for the automotive industry to bridge the skills gaps within the automotive value chain and to develop the skills qualification framework needed for the future of work. The scope of the work covers OEM’s, Independent Importers and Distributors, Components, the Motor sector and the Aftersales market.

CAREER AWARENESS EXHIBITIONS

The naamsa Saturday School Programme is a one year initiative for grade 11 and 12 pupils that benefits underprivileged highschool pupils in the subjects of Mathematics, Science and English. The program aims to introduce highschool learners to automotive industry careers. The pilot program commences in 2022 and will focus on three schools in Pretoria. The program will expand to all automotive industry manufacturing provinces as of 2023.

GRADUATE AND POST-GRADUTE PROGRAMMES

The Top learners identified from the naamsa Saturday Schools program will be mentored through the Graduate programs. In addition to financial and academic support, the naamsa graduate program candidates will receive career development mentorship and entrepreneurial leadership training to encourage a deeper understanding of the industry and to create auto industrialists. naamsa offers automotive data support and industry insights information to postgraduate students.

Bursary Award Programmes

The naamsa Bursary Intake for 2022 will cover Tuition, Meals, Accommodation and a Mentorship Fellowship Program for our intakes. The pilot program will fund students mentored through the naamsa Saturday School program to take up university and TVETS qualifications in the Automotive Industry. 

Incubation and on-the-job training programmes

The incubation and on-the-job training program aims to place graduates who are beneficiaries of the naamsa program with members and affiliated companies within the Automotive industry and to train the aftersales market ISP’s on the relevant trade skills and financial acumen as part of the township revitalization program. 

Technical and Allied Skills development initiatives 

naamsa in collaboration with DHET, DTIC, MerSETA, NUMSA, AIDC EC, AIDC GP, Automotive value chain and selected institutions of higher learning will expand the Priority Skills List and the introduction of new 4IR curricula for the automotive sector through the Comprehensive Skills GAP analysis research.

The Women Management Development  Programme has been designed to better equip women leaders with tools, knowledge, and skills to handle environmental and industry challenges and how to navigate gender biases. Great leaders shape workplace culture in ways that promote engagement and motivation, and lead with purpose- through this programme you will learn to be a strategic leader.
